About

My name's Merlin, but I go by Mars too! I'm 23 years old; I've been drawing for as long as I could remember and picked up digital art when I got my first iPhone back in 2011, with my main goal to simply share my characters and worldbuilding with anyone interested!I love drawing fan-characters and original characters from many media, both my own characters and other's creations!I hope to be able to make a partial living off of my art to do things like travel the world, see my friends, and fuel my other hobbies like playing video games, cosplaying, D&D, and drag!

Commission Terms of Service

Thank you for considering my commissions! Please read these rules before you request a commission so you know what I can or what I will not draw!

  • I have the right to reject a commission for whatever reason, whether I choose to state it nor not. I do not provide refunds upon request. If there is ever an event in which I cannot finish a commission, you will receive a full refund for your commission

  • You may only request one commission item at a time; once I have finished your commission, feel free to request another!

  • All finished commissions are posted to my twitter with a watermark and will be added to my portfolio. If you want to keep your commission private, please let me know while ordering!

  • All personal information, including full name and email, will be kept private and serve only to process payments and to send the finished commission to you. I will not keep any of this information after the commission is complete. You may chose to provide any name to me to be used in my public queue list!

  • You are allowed to repost the watermarked version of your commission, but please do not share the unwatermarked version! It prevents theft and allows people to know who made the piece. I would prefer a link to my twitter be shared alongside the piece as well.

  • Duplication or distribution of my art for monetary gain is not permitted.

  • Commissions can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to complete. I will provide at least one update of the initial sketch to you before completion. If I feel circumstances will cause a commission to take longer than 1 month, I will let you know!

  • You are allowed two free small edit request, such as a change of expression, small pose change like an arm placement, or hairstyle change. Any small edits afterward will cost 3$ extra. Large edits, such as a change of 50-75% of the pose, outfit change, or anything else that would alter the piece in a major way will cost 8$ always.

  • Do not be shy to be specific with your request! I accept outfit references, pose references, and descriptions of exactly what you want if there is something in specific you are looking for.

  • I only accept USD payments

Terms for redistributing

Please carefully read these terms and conditions if you intend to use my art for redistribution and profit.

  • Without agreeing to and signing a contract, written by me with both of our legitimate signatures, you are not allowed to commercially use, redistribute, or profit off of my art for any amount or any reason.

  • A contract will be written by me, including my explicit permission for you to redistribute my art for a certain time frame or for a certain quantity of items reproduced, will be sent to you, the client, and must be signed via e-signature before the art enters production.

  • A fee of 35% of the total commission, minus tips, must be paid upon invoicing of the commission. Royalties is 12% of net profit may be included if total gross profit exceeds $200 or timeframe for reproduction exceeds 3 months, whichever circumstance is met first.

  • The contract will be null and void if one of these circumstances occur:

  1. A refund is issued by me before the completion of the commission,

  2. The limit of quantity of items reproduced is reached or the time frame for reproduction expires,

  3. Negligence or abuse of terms is found, such as dishonesty about quantity of items reproduced, reproducing my artwork in medias nor agreed upon within the contract, or allowing a thrid party not agreed upon within the contract to reproduce my artwork.

  • Furries

  • Animals

  • Some nudity (bare upper body)

  • Designs with prosthetics/simple robotics

  • Some ship art (I take it on a case-by-case basis)

What I will NOT draw

  • NSFW / kink / fetish art

  • Bigotry influenced art (racist designs, antisemetic/islamophobic designs, nazi imagery, anti-lgbt designs, caricatures)

  • Mechs

  • Full armor (Think medieval knights or full sci-fi battle armor)

  • Art from media that makes me uncomfortable (I will let you know if this is the case!)

I can help!First I will ask for all the details you have and I will ask you to help me fill in any extra information I will need to draw your character.From there I will provide an initial sketch or two. You can pick what elements you like, take out what you don't, and I will provide a revised sketch. From here you can approve the design, or ask for more revision.There is a cap on free revisions. Included in the base price of this commission are 3 free small revisions and 1 free large revision after the first revised sketch. These free revisions can be used at any point in the design process. After this, small revisions cost $5 and large revisions cost 10$.Bear in mind the final product only includes one full body at 3/4 angle. If you would like a set of turnarounds, you would have to pay for alternate poses.If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me!
